I don't often post on here these days, but really feel the need to comment on recent events.
Firstly, that performance was not acceptable. Another 16 point start given to a team. How many games has that been now? I can accept that from time to time teams just don't turn up, but it seems to me like Marchy and his staff are just not able to prepare a team for a game and get them up for it. We shouldn't be gifting teams a start and it's happening all too often for me.
Look at yesterdays video. In the first few minutes Marchy seems to suggest that there was nothing wrong with the previous weeks' performances even though we got beat. This surprised me the most, we gave Dewsbury however many points start and again only played for 40 minutes, I'm told Sheffield wasn't good. It would seem we are now accepting mediocrity as OK under our coach.
We beat Donny, Hunslet and Swinton yet Marchy seemed to think we'd turned a corner. Let's get it right, we beat teams that we should be beating week in, week out. He appears to have got a new contract on the back of that?
Looking at our remaining fixtures, I personally think we're going to struggle to stay up. The teams around us are picking up points and beating teams that on paper you wouldn't expect them to. We, on the other hand, appear incapable of even picking up valuable bonus points never mind getting a much needed 3 points.
I really can't see where our next win is coming from. Unless there is a big change in attitude, belief and performance I can't see out three trips to Cumbria being anything other than a disappointment. Fax and Fev at home?
Len makes a good point in getting some short term help. A football manager would take a bit of the pressure of Marchy who has no idea how to get us out of this. It may also help with adding a bit of structure to the club. Will Gary have the foresight to implement something like this, not a chance. He's just happy to sit back and let situations develop and then publicly blame the players.
The only way Marchy will go is by resignation and that won't happen either.
