Not sure I agree with that.
IMO fans fall into three categories:
Those who wanted him out from early on - they don't seem to have changed their opinion.
Those, like me, who were prepared to give him a fair chance and thought the "cut off point was mid way through last season. We survived - but only just. Was it luck or judgment? I personally think he should have gone mid term, but that does not mean that I won't praise his good performances or even defend him against unfair comments.
Those that follow the club line and won't objectively criticise but seem to make excuses.
I don't think any of the above are "fickle" they seem to stand by their viewpoint.
If Marchy gets the team performing this season I'm quite prepared to congratulate him and admit I was wrong, after all its what we all want isn't it???
