Not sure I agree with that.

IMO fans fall into three categories:
Those who wanted him out from early on - they don't seem to have changed their opinion.

Those, like me, who were prepared to give him a fair chance and thought the "cut off point was mid way through last season. We survived - but only just. Was it luck or judgment? I personally think he should have gone mid term, but that does not mean that I won't praise his good performances or even defend him against unfair comments.

Those that follow the club line and won't objectively criticise but seem to make excuses.

I don't think any of the above are "fickle" they seem to stand by their viewpoint.

If Marchy gets the team performing this season I'm quite prepared to congratulate him and admit I was wrong, after all its what we all want isn't it???

Personally I 'hope' to sign one of the best rugby league coaches in the world and not to go bust again. Of course my point being the latter, he is likely the best we can afford at our level. His salary wont be enormous but he will work for it behind the scenes as well like Demtriou did.

Regarding other teams wanting to sign him, I don't know. But if I look at the team list and coaching set up of teams hopefully going to finish below us this year he would strengthen their setup.

Haha! Good grief, this forum would be littered with threads of hopeful dreams of super league grandeur if we all spoke about hope. Lets leave that to the directors.

Lets see how March performs from the dugout this Sunday. I have a sneaky feeling we might given them a game

You mentioned the word hope, I take it you are now accepting that it was the wrong term to use

I always HOPE that we will give a good account of ourselves and I will certainly give credit where it's due if we do and constructive criticism if we don't. Incidentally, that doesn't make me fickle, just honest.

Like I have said before, we are not all going to agree, but you just have to look on the forum after a defeat to find the calls for his head (Donny game). Then compare this with the Whitehaven game thread and you see some contrasting opinions. That's just my opinion. I don't spend a great of time of here anymore so that was just a quick comparison that I drew rightly or wrongly.

I have been watching Leigh since 1956 and have to say this is the best Leigh team I have watched since I was young

I will be there of course 16 of us setting off at 11am Sunday.

That's quite alright, as long as you know your place

It's not about me being a "dictionary" I simply disagreed with what you said. If you meant to say something else then you can't blame your phone for you trying to make a point and getting it wrong.

Anyway, I think we both agree we would like a good performance on Sunday but expect a loss. Leigh are an excellent side and I will be happy if we give full effort for 80 mins and cut out the needless penalties.

I understand your point.

My point is that a person who gives an assessment can give praise one week and criticism the next. That's not fickle it's just honest.
