Re: Club starting to get act together : Mon Mar 09, 2015 4:46 pm
Over the years Ive seen 'The Club' getting its act together and based on the Chairman's recent response to admission prices - it's happening again...We make no apologies for our pricing as it is geared towards achieving the objective and we hope all fans understand that. Cheaper pricing means an inferior squad. Everyone needs to pull together to make sure we get back into the Championship.
This means - keep on blindly speculating, you're our fans, our supporters - just because we're not trading quite as well as we were last year doesn't mean we should change our business plan or manage our P&L properly - just keep giving us your money, stop moaning - it wasn't our fault we were relegated !
We have, however, listened to the fans and reduced the adult match day entry pricing to £16 and introduced a family price for 2 adults and unlimited under 17s for £30.
That must have hurt! And the ungrateful speccies didn't even thank us - they should be shouting from the rooftops how good we are to them - ungrateful s0ds.
As you can see from the table, a typical combination of 1 adult, 1 concession and 2 under 17s puts us at joint 8th cheapest in the table, i.e. 7 clubs are more expensive than us.
A more typical combination would be me and my mate which would put us back to most expensive again. Or perhaps I should bring my neighbours dad and risk being put on some dodgy register for trying to talk two youths into joining us to watch some rugby.
We need your support to deliver the objective of promotion. We also need you to get your family and friends to come down to support us. We need you to tell other people that Cougar Park is great value and that they should come and join us.
Why?.... de facto, your ground and facilities are appalling, your current product is at best poor, your ability to understand and connect with your customers is arrogant and misplaced, and, when all that is done,
You will blame us The Supporters for not trying hard enough to sell your dream.
Stop blaming the supporters and get your act together!
