Re: New Coach : Mon Sep 12, 2016 7:32 pm
Personally I can see it will be Matt Bramald. I agree he did great at keighley when he was here but I really dont see him turning the club arroundI read Mike Smiths thing, I disagree with some stuff he said but one thing he was right if the club has any chance of bringing people back (myself included) It needs a high profile character (forgetting any money issue for one moment)
2 Options I see
1) It needs another JD Character an aging SL player (just about to or just has retired looking to get into coaching) who can be a player coach for a season or two, maybe bring a few with him
or
2) A an experienced coach who has coached at a higher level in the past
From that for me id like to see
Option 1.
Luke Dorn - Just retiring at Cas, very experienced player in the top level good media links etc I can see him as a new JD (could possibly play 1 season at this level)
Option 2.
Could be quite a controversial one but Karl Harrison (remember King Karls barmy army) Experienced for sure but he is strong character and he would be a good catch I feel
or
Personally would like to see Paul Anderson recent sl expereince I know things havnt gone well for Hudds this year but that didnt make him a bad coach just look at Hudders i recent years before this one under his tenure, quite experinced including his assistant years
