First and foremost a winning team attracts fans. We need a name(s) of proven quality. Downside is this costs money and we appear to have very little. Mick O’Neil offered help to the old Board but was ignored. Has this avenue been explored? Have we tried to contact those sponsors who became disenchanted with the old BOD?

Krypton factor/ It’s a knock out / sports type challenge with teams from schools, fans, players, cougar staff even invite teams from fans of other rugby clubs.

Set up a stage on the pitch, audience in the main stand, bars open, food and merchandise available, cheap/free tickets to matches.

Re-launch quiz night
There are a lot of music fans about: what about themed nights – heavy metal, blues, jazz, soul, rock n roll, etc with disco and live music. These types of music have strong fan bases that will come and watch the occasional event. I’ve been to a few events like this and they can be really good nights. If you build a reputation for putting on a good show, people will come back.
We have links with restaurants why not Re-launch the “cuisine” nights – a taste of India, China, Italy etc Cookery demos – how to make a quick curry/pizza, how to make a quick, cheap, healthy meal, eating to stay slim/fit etc.
Murder mystery night
A fitness and health club – aerobics/circuit training with a player(s) etc.
Dance classes
Summer clubs for kids
I understand all this takes organisation, marketing and staffing but if the club are serious they will have to do what it takes.
Some of these things have been done before – some worked some didn’t, no harm in applying a fresh coat of paint and trying again.
