If fans have read the clubs statement and speculated that we are signing a "Keith Senior" rather than an "Alex Brown" then maybe the egg is on the face of the speculator.

If someone says "quality" then that may well differ between what an SL fan would expect compared to a Championship 1 fan.

If someone says "pedigree" that could mean brother, son, grandson, cousin etc. Remember when we signed Andy Ayres - no one knew who he was, but his brother was a name at the time - he had pedigree.

Sometimes you just have to accept that the club will use every opportunity to gain some publicity.

I hope it will be a good signing, but I'm not expecting too much.

According to league express player is Matt Parata for Cronulla Sharks player, he is kiwi and has italian passport enabling him to come to cougar park.

Whilst in paper it does. not mean its definetly him but if its pedigree we want then he fits the bill.

Our pal google states he is a former junior Kiwi who was chased by whitehaven two seasons ago.

Looks like he couldn't break into regular NRL and more recently he has been playing lower leagues at centre.

Sounds like he has potential to be a good 'un.

A player the RFL wouldn't let us sign due to issues with his passport but seeing as he going to Yorkshire instead of Cumbria I'm sure it won't be an issue.

Why, do you need a passport to get into Whitehaven?

I think the issue may have been him waiting for an Italian passport so he could come off the Quota.
