Funnily enough I was on the phone to him the other night Keighley Prop forward Dave Emmott (pictured) who has spent most of this year playing in Australia’s New South Wales Country Rugby League is set to return to the Cougars in 2010. He has been playing with Grafton Ghosts in Group One of the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League in the New South Wales Country Rugby League Dave said: “I’m having a ball out here in Australia. But I’m looking forward to going home to Cougar Park”. Cougars head coach Barry Eaton said: “Dave was on the verge of making the first-team squad when he went out to Australia but the experience he’s gained while playing out there won’t have done him any harm. “Given the experience we’ve had with injuries throughout this season so far we can do with as many quality forwards as we can usefully carry. “Dave will be very welcome back here at Cougar Park and we look forward to his home-coming”. Before his departure to Australia Dave was a regular member of the Cougar reserve team. |
