Not sure who is aware but sky are showing a programme called Cougar Town starring Courtney Cox (monica from friends). A Cougar in america has no bearing to the animal or rugby. Here is my idea and we have nothing to lose. Someone at club contact the producers give background on the club, ask if we send some personalised shirts. In return ask them simply to get Courtney and others to wear shirt for publicity for us and email pics to club. It will cost the producers zero and the club a minimal amount but the publicity for club could be priceless if we use it well and press involved it could raise club name and profile on international stage. What have we to lose.

I don't think as a family orientated club we should be associating our moniker with a euphemism of a sexual nature, albeit a mild and mainly American one.

Think outside the box, lets suppose for a minute this was followed through and producers went for it and some of the stars of programme were pictured in cougar shirt, I for one do not think of Cougar Town when that Courtney woman is on I refer to friends. I just find the concept of the show plain wrong.

Out of interest what would you think if Cougar was a euphemism for an older man on the prowl for younger women?

I think it's a bit seedy and twisted.

Firstly , Good idea .but thb wouldn't see us getting anywhere with it , the US has it's own 'Cougars' in the shape of the Washington State University team who play in the Colleges leagues - football, athletics, basketball ,soccer and numerous other sports playing teams across America (sad git I know but I have a US football tshirt from there)

To give you an idea of the scale we are facing 'the Houston Cougars ' footie team based at the University ,who are one of the lesser college sides have a 32.000 capacity stadium .....
