First half was a penalty fest with both teams getting penalised heavily.I have to wonder what the referee was on, some of his decisions were down right ridiculous.

They took advantage better than we did and deserved their lead.

Second half discipline improved greatly and whilst their defence was creaking we couldn't break it.

Late on we struggled against their massive props and one of them crashed over the killer try.

Alarmingly today we had 3 or 4 players who really put in unacceptable performances. Repeatedly dropping ball and giving the same kind of penalties over and over again. I know the conditions were bad a lot of it was inexusable.

Still our defence looks good, we shouldn't have to rely on it so much by giving so much field position away.

So it wasnt the refs ridiculous decisions, it was your players giving dumb penalties away, glad you cleared that one up

I was there today and thought it was a cracking game, both teams fully committed in atrocious conditions, was great to see a vocal support from Keighley acknowledged by the players at the end.

That prop that got the decisive try was a monster

There were 2 in particular that were really baffling.

The first was we got penalised for being offside from a 20m restart yet the penalty was given on the 20m line not the 30.

The second was the sin binning, it appeared he was penalised for being punched.

Didnt have a clear view of the sin binning to be fair mate and i aint to clued up on the rules to know if it should have been on the 20 or if it should have been where he was actually offside

The biggest question coming out of today was

Where was Guess Who ????????????????????

yup - sin binning was obviously for hitting the guy's fist with his face.

was the Rams defence solid or the Cougar attack not incisive enough? both i guess.

missing touch with a pen in the first half was painful to watch. and have to admit i didn't think the ball was grounded in that late disallowed try.

but there were some positives to be taken with some good open play and as usual everything goes up a gear when Wray comes on.

excellent commitment from both sides.

I thought it was a fairly typical "start of season" game in less than ideal conditions.

We have to stop sides building sustained pressure from our own mistakes/infringements - we were guilty of this last year too.

The refs have new interpretations - we need to learn them fast. We won't win games by giving sides that amount of possession, but it is curable.

Disappointed at some Cougar fans shouting insults at players, I think it's counterproductive.

I thought Brambani was the difference between the sides.

He was at home watching the SL games on tele. Bloody good entertainment.
Glad to see Hudds had a good game on Saturday.

Wont be going to many away games and to be truthful. I will be picking and choosing which home games, i am going to watch.
