I have just been discussing cougars and in particular cougarmania in particular the time the cougars were shafted by rfl and others. The wife made a good point about the veil of secrecy thrown over the whole thing. For example what was said at meetings etc, did the regime at cougars go into it blind or were they set up. Rumours heard since are amongst others are that a letter was signed allowing things discussed to be kept secret. Now since then the club has over the years gone through change of ownership on more than one once. Can anyone who was actually involved in the meetings etc now come out and clarify what went on. I think that all cougar fans especially those around at the time to the current day have a right to finally know the truth. No doubt some will wonder why raise it now the answer is sky who dictate what happens are promoting the fact its years since super league began. I do not hide the fact it still gets my blood boil when talking about it. Time for anyone in the know who are no longer involved at the club officially to make a stand, lets face it the rfl cannot shaft us like that again so nothing to lose but plenty to gain.

It still makes my blood boil too, but lets leave the past in the past. Truth is we were denied what was rightly ours after a great deal of hard work and effort. We won't change it now. Those that were in charge of the club have moved on. We are not going to change it now. Yes, I agree it would ne nice to learn what was said, but let's concentrate on Cougars in 2011 and give them our time and effort.

I think Mr O'Neill has had his vengance with Mr Lindsay since that day. On a separate note, it was nice to see Mike Smith down at the Cougars again last Monday. Not sure if this is a regular occurence, but I haven't seen him for a while.
