Championship/Championship1 TV Deal for 2012 : Sat Oct 22, 2011 12:44 pm  

Just been reading this week's KN, kindly sent to me as ever by my Mum. Apparently Championship and Championship1 games are to be shown on something called 'Premier Sports' next season, a channel which you have to subscribe to. So, if I understand it right, I have to pay for the Sky Sports package if I want to watch Super League, then pay a load more on top to see games in our division. Not particularly happy with that

£6;99 a month and if you get it through your club the club gets a cut.

You also get the NRL regular season live games in with that.

I got Premier Sports using a discount code and only paid £3.49 a month for the whole year. Absolute bargain with around 5 Oz games a week to watch.

I binned sky sports, can I get this other one without being a sky sports subscriber? and if so, how do we get it through the club?

You dont need sky sports to get it

According to a premier sports guy today if your machine whether it be a sky of freeview box with a card slot you do not need to be sky member as thr card. uses sky receiver software. Hope that helps.

As far as I can see the Freeview platform does not have Premier Sports on it though many new flat screen TV's have a card slot. You may have to have a SKY (channel 433) or Freesat digital box with a card slot. Shame as Premier boasts 200 NRL and Championship games planned for next season.

Wouldn't it be a good idea for all Cougar fans to wait until the Cougars are offering the subscription so that we can support our Club and then sign-up via the Cougars so that the Club get their commission?
