Although I wish JH all the best in his future with his family firm it really is a pity that a young player with so much natural ability has decided to leave the game. Not only will he be sadly missed by the Cougars but the game in general.

He was great to watch and could have Been one of the games "all-time greats" had he stuck with TGG!

It says in the paper he had fallen out of love with the game.
If that is the case then he did the right thing.

I think an all time great is a bit too far but I think he had the potential to develop in to a Super League player.

Good luck to the lad, he always came across as really grounded whenever I spoke to him.

In his earlier games he looked like a very exciting prospect and was a player I very much enjoyed watching.

If he has “fallen out with the game” it might explain his drop in form in more recent times.

Rugby, as a high intensity contact sport, is one of those games you should not be playing if you are not fully committed, but I can’t help wondering what has caused this.

A real shame, good local lads are worth their weight in gold.
