Marchy is the organiser behind this one ...but as far as I'm aware the supporters team is being drawn from Squadbuilder Members.

Cracking night with some great entertainment , (mainly provided by Neil Cherryholme , Danny Jones and Jeremy Crowther ) which resulted in a narrow win for the players against a side drawn from the squadbuilder members ..

Marchy did an awesome job putting the thing together , with Mike Smith standing in as MC at the last min after original quizmaster Dave Ingham from the local RL could not attend due to illness.

Shame there wasn't a few more folk down , you missed a 'right laugh' ..

Brilliant night, really enjoyed it. It was nice to see the players relaxed and having fun (and cheating).

Well done to Rach for putting together the "slideshow" even though the answers sometimes appeared at the same time as the questions . and I'm sure Sue Barker will be out of a job after Mike Smith's add libbing performance.

Gavin is a star, he should take up a career as a full time heckler (though not with his mouth full of burger) and Neil Cherryholme is a right comedian.

Sounds like Marchy is going to organise similar events in the future and I can only say they are well worth attending.

Better publicity next time might bring more people down.

I would have loved to come to this, however I had both my parents' 50th birthdays fall in the last week and needed to tighten the purse strings a bit in the run up to the festive period.

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and plenty of money was raised.
