Cant really disagree with any of that.

One thing though, how the hell did there number 11 not get sent of.

Agree, number 11 punching over and over and then could barely keep away after he got dragged out of it.... I haven't seen anything quite like that in a punch up for a long while. How bad does a brawl need to get before red cards come out?

Missed first 20 minutes due to a Jagermeister related incident meaning I didn't wake up until 12.05.

So I didn't get there til we were 14-0 down. Looked pretty good for the rest of the first half.

Fax raised their intensity levels in the second half and we couldn't. Then there was a decent bit of biff. To be honest the ref didn't know what to do, as he didn't all game, so he just picked 1 from each side and sent them to the bin. The spear tackle, that was worth at least a yellow card went by the bye. After that we conceded 28 points in 15 minutes which isn't good enough. Our kick defence was terrible.

But look on the bright side, how good did Scott Leatherbarrow look on his debut? Absolute beauty of a pass that sent Danny Jones over and the variety of his kicking game was particularly impressive. We had a few young lads out there and none of them let us down.

March deserved the little bashing that Dane Manning handed to him, He ran in like the idiot, As player coach to me its obserd that he starts it, It wasnt a spear tackle, however he was lifted up too much and that shouldnt have happened. I'm actually suprised that Keighley have March as player/coach, he has always been dirty and uses spoiling tactics any time he can. From JD to PM what a come down.

I personally though before a ball was kicked there was always going to be a little biff but thought it would have been started by one of the many ex Fax players in your squad.

Good look with the full season and well done for nurturing some youth.

I think March admits as much in the interview. JD was also guilty of it. Whilst you cannot condone March's actions, it's easy as a spectator to criticise when safe on the terraces. To be out there in the middle when your players are getting no protection from the referee, I guess it will take a calm character not take it into your own hands.

I think it's a little harsh to suggest this is a come down. March comes to the club with more coaching experience than JD did. I think he did a very fair job at Hunslet.

Regarding the spear tackle, on seeing it yesterday I thought it was awful, but the video suggests it wasn't as bad. His body position moved a split second before impact with the ground otherwise it could have been a bad injury. Equally, I can't condone these tackles and Manning was a lucky lad not to have been shown a straight red.

Leatherbarrow looked good yesterday I agree. Looks very solid in build and is not your typical lean scrum half. I think he'll get better as the season goes on.

Fax gave us a lesson on how to slow the play the ball down. To be fair to them, they got away with it time and time again. On the other hand, we didn't and they caught us napping. I lost count of the amount of the times Gav was left 2 on 1 in the first half.

What was crazy Dave drinking yesterday? His pronunciation of "Leatherbarrow" was laughable and as Fax run out he says "Welcome on to the pitch Keighley Cougars".
