Something to consider Micky.

When you are asking question you use nicknames for some players. Someone watching may not know who you are talking about.

I'm sorry but I think that's really unfair on someone who gives up a great deal of time to provide this for the fans, not to mention his at his own expense. If all you can find to critique him about is the use of nicknames on interview I think it's poor.

What's next? Are you going to ask Marchy (sorry Paul March) to use their full names in his responses.

Largely I would expect these forums to be viewed by RL fans who will have some knowledge of players etc.

I think that was unfair to be honest Jim. My opinion though, no doubt you'll disagree......

So how does someone who doesnt know the nicknames of players know who is being spoken about?

How many people will that actually affect? You must feel it would be a substantial amount to justify your poor critique. At the time of writing it's had 200 or so views on here. I bet 3 of which are mine and would surmise the majority of those would be Cougar/Barrow fans who have an idea of who's who.

I don't think it will affect many at all which adds to my view that it wasn't a necessary point to make.

Come on Jim seriously you're not for real on this one...

Dominance is spot on in his reply ...pedantic isn't the word here ..

Take Sunday as an example , a throughly cold damp and miserable Furness afternoon , after a 160 odd mile round trip Mike was stood on his todd doing the filming whilst everyone else was in the relative shelter of the stand or Pop side at Craven Park.

He has to hang about after the match to get Marchy's piece and then when he gets home spend many a happy hour editing his match highlights , as someone who's played around with a bit of video editing for work I know it is not a 5 min job on a home PC. Lets add to that the Tuesday nights that he's given up to get the player interviews plus numerous u23 / u18 games ..all this at his own cost and with his own equipment which I know he's spent many a fair bob on upgrading over the seasons.

Keep going Mr G your efforts are appreciated by 99.9% of folk on here !!

I think a bit too much is being made of this.

All that has been offered is a bit of constructive feedback that has been put out there to make Mike's videos even better than they all ready are.

For fans like most on here, who are the converted we know the players nicknames. However these videos are also put out through Facebook and Twitter where they maybe viewed by more shall we say casual fans. In that case I think Guess Who makes a reasonable and fair assessment and it isn't pedantry, nor is he criticising the quality of the videos.

Keep up the good work Mike, it's appreciated.

My thoughts are that Jim told me something I had not considered.
I will think about this when asking questions in future.

Jim is not the 1st to offer constructive feedback. It can be viewed as criticism following a long days work.

This can be given in a PM, face to face with a pint or published on the Internet for all to read.

If I am honest, I prefer my criticism constructive or otherwise more privately, but Jim published this on the web.

I don't think Jim meant anything by it and it is a fair point for a few.

Soon when the season proper starts, I will more than likely be filming the professionals asking the questions like last
year rather than asking them myself.

Stealth says one thing that is right in my opinion, too much is being made of this. It's unlike him to disagree with something I put on here!!!

As a "moderator" I am sure you will be open to the views expressed by others which may differ to your own. Does that make you right? Maybe you have a point, maybe you don't. I don't know many on this forum so unlike many I cannot be accused of nepotism.

I looked at it from a point of view of the director of the video. IMO I deemed your critique as unnecessary.
