Keighley Cougars long serving Captain James ‘ Buster’ Feather begins a new challenge this week when he joins Your Sporting Chance’ as a Project Worker.He will work alongside team mate Australian forward Brendon Rawlins working intensively with young people in the local community that have been referred to YSC because of their involvement or risk of involvement in low level anti social behavior.
‘It’s a massive personal challenge for me’ said Buster ‘ I’ve been volunteering with YSC for several months working with the young people , also taking on some appropriate training and really found the whole experience extremely rewarding . When a opportunity came up to join the team on a full time basis, it was a chance I couldn’t miss.’
‘I’ve been working in the building trade since I left school and although I enjoyed it taking up this role will really be different and I hope my experience’s as a Professional Sportsman can influence of the young people we work with and inspire them to change their negative behavior’
