Firstly this is my own opinion ,nowt to do with what ever role I hold within the club / sportingchance (and yes I know I have a personal interest in that n the fact that young Steady is my Godson) ..

But the future of the club smashed another pro club (one aligned with the might that is Wigan Warriors )98-0,and we get sod all (4 replies ) on the forum... and we want this club to progress and grow ..????.People are happy to slate the first team but have little support for the hard work going on on the quiet to keep RL at Cougar Park

Jez ,Dean, Tommy Hall and even back to Matt and Rammy have done a fine job building a solid base for the future ,through the Scholarship/Elite Academy / Under 18 squads .This complemented the outstanding development work of the Cubs and latterly Albion promoting Junior RL in Keighley , as well as bringing to Cougar Park and retaining quality young uns from outside the locality for the Cougars .

Buster , Gav , Ben Sagar , Ollie , Matt Bailey , Josh Lynham, Ryan Patchett , Steady and the sadly retired James H are all the products of that system and the vast majority of our under 20's are locally produced lads lads ...

I'm not standing up for our board, just simply want to support our folks like Jez, Dean, Scott Lindsey, Frank Levy and numerous who give massive amounts of their own free time to ensure the future of KRLFC ...

20's at home to Leigh Thursday Night ......the lads wont let u down


Support them n our young fellas and we'll have a team to be proud of.....

I think the problem is, some are only happy to post when they have something to moan about. Good news just confuses them lol!

I agree with what your saying rach and I am attending my first reserve game this week as I have seen plenty of footage and to be honest fans are talking more about them at the minute than the first team, so coming down to see the lads play. Great win for them at weekend and for any team reserve or not to pull off a win like that says it all really.

Not gonna turn this post in to a negative one but the one thing that is really annoying me with the reserves at the minute is Ben stead, getting himself 46 pts and kicking like he is it would be criminal now for him not to secure a spot in the first team. He has proven his self for most of this season now and seems to still struggle to get a call up into the first team. In my opinion he is a better quality than leatherbarrow.

Be interesting to see if he's called up for the next game. Also you have to take your hat off to dean muir, well done pal.

Yes, well said Rach. I've been to every U20 home game so far this season (sadly can't get to the away games) and have enjoyed every moment. Not because of the results. It's more to do with passion, desire and skill these lads show on the field. Well done and looking forward to the Leigh game.

Certainly not looking forward with the same enthusiasm to the Doncaster game.

As everyone has already stated... Well said Rach

At the current moment in time im actually looking forward to the under 20's than i am the first team! The quality of rugby is actually alot better than the first team. Maybe we should give the likes of dean and his coaches the chance at training the first team instead see if we can improve!?

The quality in the lads coming through the ranks is amazing and Ben definatly desreves a chance in the first team over marchy!

Yes, well said Rach. Wish I lived a bit nearer, I would definitely get down to watch the young lads.
