Keighley Cougars can confirm the release of hooker Luke Haigh.

Luke joined the club following his release from the Hunslet Hawks in the March of last year, making his debut the same day in a 40-14 victory away at the Rochdale Hornets.

The hooker would go on to make 22 appearances for the club scroing 2 tries, both of which came in May's victory over Dewsbury Rams at Cougar Park.

Paul March said of Luke's departure: "Luke has left due to work and college commitments.

"He's just getting too far behind with his college work. We have come to an agreement that he will be released and I understand he'll be playing for Thornhill Trojans."
