Just announced Cunningham parted company with Saints

Inevitable and entirely necessary - he's killed off any last vestiges of the 'Entertainers' tag that was well earned in years gone by; an outstanding player, but a terrible coach.

Never liked or rated him as a coach, inherited a good side and turned it into an Aussie style percentage team. He'll find it hard to find a coaching job now.

It's lovely to sit back and watch it happen to other teams now - we've had it for so long I've almost forgotten what it's like to support a club with a stable coaching team.

On Saints, I think they should have brought somebody experienced in above Cunningham in the off season who can guide him to be a better coach. I've no idea who they're going to replace him with, but i don't think there's anyone free who'd be an immediate improvement for them.

Be surprised if he lands another HC role - maybe at Toulouse or Catalans.

There's a job going at Dewsbury and there may be one at Widnes shortly !

Having read the report and the reasons why, it seems their board aren't happy that they've been losing to the likes of Leigh and ourselves. The last straw seems to have been their failure to beat Huddersfield. What a shame there are no gimme's in Super League anymore. The days of expecting to beat Wakefield Trinity are long gone and they really need to get used to it. The competition is far more interesting these days with Cas and Salford doing great, us not far behind and Wigan, St Helens and Warrington all playing catch up.

Im dissapointed cheap shot cunningham going, (the cowardly punch on j stosic) his totall inabillity to coach a rl side was an entertaining sub plot to this season but i suppose there is still denis betts to laugh at
