Today Neil Fox is 78. His career, his record points scoring speak for themselves. He didn't make the Wembley statue which was a shame.
We can do better than that surely. Maybe it would be difficult at Belle Vue but would be fitting if it was there for just a year before we moved (living in hope as ever).
What does the panel think? Could we crowdfund or the like.
I know there are other considerations like David Topliss but Big Neil is stand out.

There was suppose to be a statue of Neil Fox commusioned a few years back which was supposed to stand proud at NM. I think £60k was muted. Needless to say the money wasn't raised.

Yes, I recall the club putting an appeal out. Was it for individual donations of £1000? I called Davide Longo at the time to discuss it. It was a lot of money but both my Dad (since 1930) and my step dad (since the 40's) are life long Wakefield supporters and I was going to get a plaque for them which I think was part of the deal. I must have been feeling flush at the time! Crowd funding so people can donate as much or little as they can might be a better idea.

Part of history, heritage, culture of the 'Merrie City'. There should be one in city centre. Why not even outside the 'Hepworth' ?

A statue was designed and at least a couple of miniatures crafted. Neil has one of these so you could say, the jobs half done.
