Don`t know too much regarding the non-fed ruling tbh, I have seen some talking about Josh Drinkwater having a German passport but I think this just means that he would not have to go through the Visa process but would still count as non-fed.
With Robert Elstone coming in and shaking things up a little I wonder if there could be some changes coming, in the way of increasing the quota. The wrong option and a step backwards in my opinion in terms of development etc however we have seen stranger things happen over the years.
Maybe there is an British based half back that has become available? I know Catalan were after Matty Smith but after Drinkwater showing how good a fit he is there they may have pulled out, leaving St Helens with a half sat on the cap they are not going to use. Not the perfect option but proven, experienced and an above average kicking game which is the missing piece in the Wakefield jigsaw for me.
