The argument about increased risk of injury may be valid but, the flip side of this would be to have infinite interchanges and then where would we be.There will be a need for a higher degree of fitness/stamina but, is that a bad thing ?
Also a tiring forward not hitting the line quite as hard may actually reduce impact injuries ?
This all seems part of wanting the game to "flow" a little better, which should be a positive.
Back in the day, there were only 2 substitutes who once on the field stayed on and if you go back further, none at all, it's all about getting the balance right and IF the big forwards have a little less impact, perhaps we will see a bit more craft and skill coming back into the game, instead of it being all about power.
