To cap a fantastic Friday night. SKY News announces that Eddie Hemmings is to retire after 40 years.
May be an incentive to now sign up to SKY Sports channel.

I liked him.
Certainly if was changing something he wasn't first on the list.

Done a tremendous amount for rugby league in his time.

He can talk some b ocks occasionally but, like Eddie Waring, he has done and said a lot for the game. Overall, I applaud his contribution to the game

I was delighted when stevo left he was terrible and archaic

It will be a shame to see Eddie retire he's always done a great job

The new team are excellent Carney and Wells and Clarke make the show so much more professional

With the exception to O'Connor, aka Stevos half whit replacement, he is shocking the show is much improved

Like Eddie Waring Eddie Hemmings has played his part in the game and should bow out remembered for the right things, hope he takes barry and terry with him

He hung around too long and became grating - but fair play to him in terms of his contribution to the game.

It will be good to see the team freshened up - I'd advocate ditching O'Connor and retaining Barrie Mac, who does actually have some intelligent things to say about the game when he's not being goaded into half-witted 'banter' - but Brian Carney as the replacement for Eddie seems logical and sensible.
