There's a picture doing the rounds on twitter showing Batch there first with downward pressure. Although not the reason we lost - the standard of refereeing was poor again and has been in decline for years tbh. For both sides there were bad calls. However the tap on the 20 was criminal, you can accept not getting the 50:50's or even the 70:30's where there is an element of doubt. For this call there was none, truly woeful. Also this argument that ref's should be immune from criticism isn't washing with me, in any line of work such a monumental balls up would be criticised. Let's not forget that this is this guys full time job, he trains all week and gets paid to go out there and referee the match.
