I seem to recall the referee was Robin Whitfield who just about made it to the halfway line and made a decision from 40 yards away. Still think about it every time we play Bradford.

It’s now come to light that when Danny Kirmond questioned the decision, which he has every right to as captain and such a blatant error...was told...don’t ask stupid questions!

And these blokes wonder why they’re losing respect!

Just been in Wakefield shop for tickets for Wires match was told we have never won a match with that clown in charge .At the end of the day we have had some bad matches and played poor some down to 7 or 9 players missing . But that tap taken in the wrong place also the ref had is back to him when he took it could send us down

Not sure about Super League games off the top of my head but know he reffed us at Dewsbury the other year in the challenge cup...

Was told he is a massive Wigan , or was before becoming referee. No idea if any truth or just nonsense.
What is Wigans record with him refereeing i wonder?
