Rugby League looks almost certain to be back in our lives from the 28th May, just four weeks away, as the NRL have been given the go-ahead to return to action under strict hygiene rules as the Aussie game comes out of enforced hibernation.
There is still some discussion over the duration of the season, in terms of the number of weeks over which it will be played, but it is almost certain to start over the last weekend of May and likely to culminate in a Grand Final on the 25th October.

It's a question of money. Carter explained on Forty20 that the issue is we have no income but because the GOV are supporting through furlough the people at the club are ok. But when we start back in training they are back to work with no furlough and no income. When we start playing still no furlough but no income from gates as they are behind closed doors The only way it's possible is if Sky finance it, and with a payment up front too.
Gate money missing will be " pay at the ground" people, home & away fans + business suites, bar & food etc, this will be sizeable ! However, I am a season ticket member & will not ask for any money back for games missed, this also applies to my family who are also members ! Unprecedented times, only my opinion but I know we have trinity tv of which I subscribe to, but maybe MC, could look to some type of competion Quiz on rugby league & Trinity on subscription similar to Jays pub quiz but the winner could be awarded a prize, profit to the club ! Special times need special measures, players could take turns to ask questions with an IT, controller ?

Great ideas but you are talking hundreds of pounds when we need hundreds of thousands to start the season. It will help but won't get the season started. Some people I'm sure will ask for season ticket money but we don't have a big membership so I'm thinking that money has probably already been spent.

I'm with you TrinTrin. They can keep my season money ticket too - I won't be asking for any of it back. I have also signed up to TrinTV and Squadbuilder - hope it makes just a bit of a difference!
