Tough time/s ahead. : Sun Jul 05, 2020 8:56 pm
Just a thought towards this sky sum - shortfall next year to all SL. Clubs. In factual terms all SL. Clubs will take a £280,000 loss for 2021 season !That represents direct cuts in players wages & retentions.
Fans in covid 19 are also hurting financially & in some cases continued employment - wages = support problems to our club !
In simplistic maths, say 13 home games, then £280,000 divided by 13 = £ 21,538 per match.
Therefore, our season ticket holders, solid core is usually 2,500 sales, minimum.
So, £21,538 divided by 2,500 = circa £ 8,61 per match - simplistic terms of course, however to suggest this increase to stand
Still depends on a), ability to pay & b). If one wants to pay, ?
This would only let the club stand still & not loose anyone ?
I do of course recognize fans paying at the gate on the day but that can be fickle ? But the revenue maths would change ?
So, what are the thoughts of our great fans to maintain our earned position prior to the virus closure & therefore our
collective resistance to remain on track gaining our continued progress ?
We are indeed in unusual times in o so many ways !
