Nine changes from last week,,,two on debut...three playing their first game in about 6 months...others hardly played since lockdown, training disrupted with Covid etc...and we’re expecting fast, free flowing, error free rugby?
Add to that we seem to have wretched luck with close 50/50 calls...both video ref tries questionable and both given...
At least this week though we made a good game of it and we’re a bit unfortunate not to get the win...I said pre game, playing against a team who we looked pretty even against on paper it would be better...unlike the last three playing top teams at near full strength...
Was a good effort overall with plenty of positives...thought Bailey went well and Aydin certainly made an impression with line speed and aggression in the tackle...

At last some sense.
We are still not firing but the reasons are fairly obvious.
It’s a treble whammy.
First current injuries. On there own not much worse than some other teams, certainly not an excuse by themselves.
However combined with last Horrendous injury crisis and the losing streak that created then you do find excuses.
The club has had a run of bad luck and although in hindsight certain things might have been handled better, maybe. Overall though it’s been a tough 18 month and if people can’t see that I despair.
Luck and form will change and today at least we could score, something we looked incapable of a few weeks back. I’m afraid it’s a slow recovery.
One bit of luck, at least we are having our crisis of confidence in a season where it doesn’t matter.
