He tests defences and that will lead to breaks, either by him or it’ll cause a break elsewhere in the line. Whoever the opposition is he’ll be a threat to their line and will stress their defence because of his ability to time himself onto a pass, pick and run good lines, use late footwork and combine all that with some above average power.It’s not about whether he can score 2 try’s every game or even make a bust every game, he is a threat when he plays in the back row, he’s the same threat even when good defences deal with him because he has to be accounted for and that takes its toll on a defensive line.
Our only other threat is an on form Tupou who could form a really dangerous partnership with Tanginoa. Throw Tom Johnstone back into the mix and we have a really dangerous attacking edge. Who knows it might even create some room down the right hand side for Lyne and BJB.
