Quite right, 1315. As you know I knew Peter Harrison quite well. A quiet, unassuming gentle giant of a second rower who was surely destined for international honours prior to that fateful tackle against Cas. He was 6' 3" and over 16 stone. He regularly accidentally (I hope) stood on my foot whilst talking to him not realising, of course, because of his artificial limb. He subsequently went into the licensed trade and the last time I saw him he was landlord of that Tetleys pub alongside the river at Allerton Bywater. Sadly Peter passed away a few years ago, far far too young.

Yes. He told me that story once.
Although he enjoyed his time at Bradford and I think well regarded by their fans he didn't actually want to go.

Yes, Portsmouth I believe. An interview on Trinity TV, Ian, tells of how he was given up for adoption as a baby during the War. His birth Mother saw him playing at Wembley v Wigan, and wrote to the club asking if Ian would contact with her. That’s a super story itself. I don’t know Ian personally, other than saying Hello, but I knew his adoptive dad Bill, I started an apprenticeship at Bradley and Craven, in 1962, Bill worked on the Horizontal Borer. He was a lovely chap, some interesting stories to tell. Ian, obviously learnt his manners from home.
