Well mr sarcastic, the op said what would our strongest line up be in our own opinions. I can’t form an opinion on a player I haven’t watched.
But that's kind of the point, you have not seen him so how will you ever know.
I think the Lino signing is being somewhat underestimated on. This is no Bush player or some young hopeful who can't get a break into the first team. The lad has 34 NRL games under his belt, that is not a rookie.
Tanginoa had 33, whilst Fifita and Miller far less. Arona and Bill have more but not massively.
Lino could have probably still gotten an NRL gig, so we will have had to splash some cash, he won't be cheap, as I say he's not a prospect like some seem to think, he's the real deal. Sure he might not work out but that's a risk with all players but he's not a punt, he should all things being right be a top signing.
What really matters though is that CC clearly doesn't think Hampshire can do the job or at least not full time, Doesn't matter what we think, Chester has made his choice, spent the club's money and now has to stand by that decision. It beggars belief that he wouldn't play him straight off if fit, especially as he's done a pre-season. As I say he's a pucka signing, not some kid with no boots.
Hampshire did well towards the end of the last season, he's put himself in a good position to challenge if the chance arises but he's not the first choice, otherwise we wouldn't have gone to the NRL in the first place.
I'm just looking forward to seeing what we've signed and hoping this guy is the one.
