Yep...there's an interview with him in this weeks League Express and he now manages his own property business that he runs along with his agent Craig Harrison.
He also says that he wanted a new challenge and to test himself in a new environment and that there are no hard feelings at all towards Trinity.
There usually is more to most stories and this one is typical.
A player reaches a certain age and certain issues begin to apply. Pretty obvious in BJB’s case. A lad preparing for a post RL world clearly needs more time to prepare a new career. Part time RL is of course the perfect solution. I’m always a bit dubious about the challenge bit but benefit of the doubt.
Trinity need on the other hand to be producing peak players who may offer at least a minimum of three years service. Truth is BJB no longer fitted that criteria. I know there are exceptions but generally there is a time to renew. Imho we made that error with Kirmo, who probably stopped two seasons longer than he should have.
Whether we have the replacement for BJB is yet to be seen but I have no issue with the timing tbh. He could have possibly done another year but at the end of this season someone else will have stepped up and Bush will just be a memory.
