I was there the day Shoey got his serious injury and if you knew anything at all about what he went through for the rest of his life after that then i would hope that you would have a shred of decency in you and not be trashing his history . Shoey was no different to many half backs in that era being a tough so and so and yes he could niggle but many could at the tme , i would like to know which careers he finished ? . I by the way am from Leeds and lived there most my life although now travel to home and away games up to 280 miles round trip a time . As for Wakey you obviously have this false idea that Leeds fans look down on your club , whilst some maybe do as other fans of other clubs might the majority of Rhinos i know (including myself) want Wakey to do well and are supportive of them and no way do we want these Jonny come latley sides taking your place in Super League .
There are not many who revel in seeing a player get hurt and I don’t think anyone has. That doesn’t mean you have to like them as a player and it’s only as a player most of us know them.
I currently have a near psychotic hatred for Saints LMS, but only on the pitch. I’d love someone to drop him on his arrogant backside. I’ll always hate him as a player but that’s all. As a person I assume he’s fine and I wish him well.
Hate is a strong word but let’s not be overly precious here, celebrity hate is a throw away, real hate is all together different. The problem with the infantile nature of today’s easily offended nobody knows the difference.
People on here have openly expressed their hatred for Leeds RLFC and although I don’t agree with them I’m realistic enough to know it’s not real hatred it’s more supercharged indignation.
So. Alegend said nothing wrong, he hated or at least extremely disliked Shoebottom, that doesn’t mean for one second he wanted him to lead the rest of his life in pain.
Let’s get some proportion.
