The lack of desire is hard to take, we have seen these part time committed performances before under previous coaches. As someone just said, Green is on the field, but it’s ineffective, going through the motions. Poor championship stuff at best. We have Tangata but I have no idea why as he hasn’t really had a run. Maybe he really is just bang average. Fifita was absent for the first 40 minutes and did his yards at the end. The championship must have some players who would love a shot at SL and maybe our route will be loans and swaps. Another three Eddie Battye types would help.

Are batchelor and crowther front line and better than what we’ve got? IMO collectively they are not doing it so needs freshening up big time the thing is how many at once. It’s been let go too far and if we escape this year unless we get at Least 4 it will be the same again

Give some of the youngsters a chance who are chomping at the bit ,Leeds. Saints,Wigan are blooding their future players to good affect .We've been out enthused so far more than out classed ,give these youngsters who’ve dreamed about playing for wakey a run out . .I guarantee you’ll feel much better losing a game when you know they have give their all than losing and looking like they don’t give a damn .
Ideal occasion against saints ,no one expects anything other than a shellacking so what have we got to lose .
Crowther and batchelor have come through ok and have made cracking players in the first team.
At this present time we don’t look like a team hungry enough for the win ,we need to change that mindset Pronto .
Get the youngster in .

Just who are the youngsters that you have in mind.
Playing prop forward in SL isn't something you can throw kids into.

Even Saints and Wigan have been able to ease an odd one in and usually into a winning side.
To throw a young lad in at prop in our current side will put them back years and certainly wont be the difference between winning and losing.
Of our current squad, there is only Tangata and Aydin that we havent seen, plus, Brad Walker and Dane Windrow.
Nobody there that you could stick in at Prop and therein lies the problem Those that we have are "guaranteed" a place in the 17, even when they are serving up 5/10 performances.
For Trinity to do anything, everyone needs to be hitting 8/10 and there are very, very few that are anything close to that, with TJ being the obvious exception.

That said CC needs t get a grip, on that we agree. I have no issue with players 1 -7, it's 8 - 13 where the issue is.

I do hope the players read this forum because I've been calling the pack out as soft for weeks as have most fans and I stand by it. I hate doing it but to me, it seems obvious, to me our front row in particular seems like a retirement home.

Catalan tactics are the tactics every team will use from now on to beat us, easiest team in the league to play against are we. The tragedy is that for thirty minutes against Leeds we had the formula and scored three times! Then we stopped.

As I'm not in the team I don't know who's to blame, I'm beginning to feel it's both the forwards and the coach.

CC needs to do a Fergy, drop the prima donnas and run with youth, we won't win but we will start to move forwards. Aydin isn't ready but he's still given more than the rest and so on.

God this is depressing because unlike some on here you and me know the talent is there, certainly enough talent to be way better than we are.

We obviously see this differently; what makes you think it's the players rather than Chester given we go through the process like clockwork pretty much every set that is turned over in our 20/30 yard line?

What do we actually class as a youngster in modern RL. There were 5 players under 23 in last years SOO, with Coates being 20!, and that’s the pinnacle of RL in the world. I believe if you have it, you have it no matter what age, just look at the average age of Wigan’s pack. Surely getting towards the age of 20/21 you should be establishing yourself in the first team if you have it. I liked the look of that greensmith and Windrow in the dewsbury game and was baffled when we signed senior instead of giving greensmith who is 20 a go. B .Walker is 22, surely he should be now be given a chance to show what he can do as he looks to have a lot of class to him.

Never said prop but we have a cracking hooker a stand off and second rower who all have tasted first team action , or do we wrap them up in cotton wool whilst our first teamers are farting about . Give em a run out

I can't know, nor can you, it's what I suspect.

I'll put it another way, the tactic may be as you suggest, what I'm suggesting is that the tactic is not being carried out correctly, certainly not for the last 30 minutes.

A tactic is a tactic, how it's carried out can be massively different with massively differing results.

Anyway, it's academic, the only people who can do anything about it are not posting on here. Probably.

If the team are following the tactics coached by Chester it does not bode well for our attack. It is interesting to note that we look better with the off the cuff plays which by definition means not coached.
