We have retained Academy status, we have some very good progressed former academy players but have little faith in them from our
coach. We now have a very good squad of academy players, if we sign some on they will be farmed out to other divisions/clubs
What we need is a structure to learn these players, nurture a culture to improve & win WITH a proper integration into the first team &
Super league. To just sign them into wakey & contract, farm them out & when they play for the first team & blame them as not good enough + play them occasionally then bring in other SL clubs young players to the benefit of their parent club is ridiculous !
To cap all this we are now signing old men to join our existing aged players, one can see the outcome down the line ????

Don't we all, but we're not going to have our bodies put through the wringer week after week. Every year those knocks are that bit harder to come back from, and more importantly if we don't use or fail to develop the young players coming through the ranks into SL players we can hardly complain if/when the licence to run an academy is revoked.

So we have resigned one of the players (I don't think he's too old) and the others are rumours.
Suggest you wait to see who is announced at next season's shirt presentation, a lot of water to go under the bridge yet.
