10th in the league (only behind Hudds in 9th on points difference), finally some decent form.
Looks like we are planning for next season.
Lets get down to BV Mon and support the boys.

It would be an astonishing effort for Leigh to catch us now, not impossible but unlikely. It’s not impossible but today was a big step forward for us and a kick in the teeth for Leigh, Salford and Hudds.

Course it’s done, safety was secured once we beat Warrington, there was no way Leigh were going to catch us with their run in. Saints away tonight and at Catalans on Monday. That should see it all official for us.

What’s the betting all of a sudden Salford want to play that outstanding game now we are above them!

Correct, it's not impossible, but unlikely in the extreme.

They have 4 scheduled fixtures remaining (plus 3 outstanding postponements). Winning all four of those fixtures would now not be enough.

To catch Salford would require them to win all 4 and could still be relegated on points difference. (or Salford could 'unfortunately' postpone one of their remaining 4 fixtures)

To catch Trinity they would need to win all four and then one of the rearranged fixtures (when?). If they lost one of those five then they'd need to win both of the remaining fixtures (as points difference comes as after one more they'd have played the same number of games). 7/25 would beat 6/24.

I doubt any of the remaining postponed games will be played in time.

We now need to be looking up to get out of the bottom 3.

Even the most pessimistic of supporters can now breathe a sigh of relief.

I include myself in that bracket, but I suppose that comes with fifty years of mediocrity.

What I find a tad annoying is we could have been in the mix for the play-offs. Both the Cas games, Leeds, Salford & Huddersfield were winnable & if we hadn't blown 'em , we'd been in 5th & getting all giddy.

But as I said to the wife last night, we're safe or another year, mission accomplished! Her reply was "same old, same old then".

I acknowledge that barring the most freaky set of results ever, Leigh wont be catching us (or anyone else now).

However, on the subject of postponed fixtures, when could any of these actually be played.

We have 4 more games scheduled and without some crazy "cramming", there isn't time to fit any additional games in
before the play offs start and it would be quite ridiculous to try and have catch up games at that point.
