Not sure about TJ. If you moved him you have to find a winger to replace and to be honest, if he wants his England spot he needs to be on the wing.
He'll hopefully have a real centre who can give him good ball so I'd leave him and play to him as much as possible.

Butterworth played A team at full back. I'd rather he stepped up then move lots of players to accommodate FB.

Moving TJ isn’t ideal but it could reveal some hidden elements to his game and increase his value to us and England
If I were Toulouse I wouldn’t relish giving TJ an open field and a broken defensive line to run at too often.

It might be easier to carry a player out of position on the wing than one at Full Back, I know TJ would effectively be out of position but he carries a threat whatever position he plays in the back line

Two matches is about right for me for that incident.
Before everyone goes off on one, I like Max, he’s a great lad from a top family and that sort of maliciousness isn’t part of his game but it was a bad collision with his knees into the back of a defenceless opponent.

You said that about a player from the championship and defended the indefensible, unlike Jowett whose offence was very debatable, where's the difference?.
The ex ref from Wakefield, it wasn't Albert Rayner was it?

Given Poaching`s "Next man up" philosophy I would expect Butterworth to play if he is fit.

As would I however I’d still enquire about the option of Golding on 4 weeks loan. If he’s available from Hudds as Lolohea seems to be playing full back for them.

I absolutely did not defend the indefensible, I stated that the lad wasn’t a grub or a malicious player and that the incident had taken a heavy toll on him mentally. To whit I suggested people should be careful about their reaction and think about what they posted. I also said that he knew exactly how it looked and would take any punishment deemed appropriate, which he has
I never at any point sought to absolve him of the responsibility for the tackle he made and/or the welfare of the tackled player.

In many ways the two incidents are alike but one looked and was far more serious than the other, in both cases I think the punishment was fair.

Fred Lindop was the ref I was thinking about

Can't understand how a Leeds guy gets comments:-

Dangerous Contact - a defending player makes contact with an opponent after the ball has been released by an opponent in a vulnerable position which causes flexion to the head, neck or spinal column on an attacking player, which poses an unacceptable risk of injury to that player.

But NFA

No mention of Blake Austin's crusher on TJ either.

Absolutely no consistency whatsoever.

Looks like it Lynn had played for Leeds he would have had no ban same offence ?
