I'd rather de-register Whitbread to be honest. He's not terrible but he's no better than we could have picked up in the championship IMHO unless I'm missing something.

Get where your coming from on whitbread but my thought on tupo was that he’s out of contract at year end and still struggling with fluid on knee so would question wether he’s able to make much of a contribution.

On the sid front my only two thoughts were that gwaze totally outplayed him in Halifax friendly (I realise he’d only just come back from injury ) and even if he does work out he’s another relatively small forward.

Suspect it’s all a bit hypothetical as to make changes suspect we need to spend what we don’t have

I think Whitbread has performed reasonably well whilst playing out of position and not being a genuine prop.

One of the few genuine props of SL standard in the squad Fifita appears to becoming injury prone.

Ideally a prop loan signing would address the lack of go forward and benefit the team and give the supporters some optimism…

I fear that by the time Tupou is fit to play key games against similar standard opposition such as Toulouse will have been and gone making his position within the squad redundant…. A prop is needed not a three quarter….didn’t Anthony Tupou agree to his contract being ended early due to injury? Same with another back rower?

In what way is he becoming injury-prone, you had a good point so why over exaggerate? He has an injury that's kept him out for about three weeks, hardly injury prone is it?

Fair point just can’t seem to get him on the field then….is it the last 5 games he’s missed despite being in the squad of 21?

Not sure, he played in the Warrington cup game ;as so that's five games but in a short time frame.

Does anyone else feel royally shafted by tv. We are the team they never seem to want to show but we were selected for the last TV cup tie by BBC and the first Sky game this week forcing us to play 5 games in 19 days. Factor in a couple of days recovery and there has been barely a moment to hold a training session to try to rectify problems that need addressing. So much for player welfare.
One other point. When we won promotion to Super League we were allowed in, but funding was withheld. Subsequent years where we have been played by Box's council cronies have seen Super League withhold part of our funding due to the state of our ground, I think to the tune of £250000 pa. I don't know how great our total deficit is compared to other clubs but we continue to battle on several fronts, of which the playing field (not level) is one.
We are finally coming to the point where the new development will allow us to grow our finances and allow us to compete on a more equal basis with other teams. The astonishing thing is that we have done so well to get this far on scraps and we desperately need everyone to push together to help the club realise this opportunity to create a position of strength.
