Who are the 'big 4' exactly? I always come back to Warrington & Hull who seemingly can compete off the field quite easily with Wigan, Leeds & Saints, who have won every G/F since it was introduced in '98 apart from Bradford. So if we include Shudds as in the financial side of things, what criteria is needed for the 'big 4'?! Clearly it's not how much money you have, it's what you do with it. Warrington, Hull & Hudds have thrown as much money about as the other 3, but have a few challenge cup wins, a couple of league leaders shields, and that's about it in the last 30 years or so. Having it doesn't guarantee success, but not having it also doesn't mean you can't be successful either. In relative terms, Salford have been 'successful' in the last 3 or 4 years, i would have gladly taken the ride they have been on and been to the 2 finals they have.......
