Effectively if I buy a drink from you I won't buy one from the club. I haven't got a huge issue with that, it's a choice issue for everyone.

So to get my money I want to see your venue pushing the club (as you seem to want to) both inside and out. Won't cost you loads. A large banner outside facing Barnsley Road supporting the club. Inside say a dozen framed images (A3and A2 SIZE) dotted around the place, including behind the bar.

Don't know if you are able to do that but if you can here's an offer

I'll ask the club if they have any memorabilia they can spare.

You could be onto something if you get it right. The old Graziers on Donny road used to be buzzing on match days, and was effectively the de-facto club pub, even the team used to drink there, although I suspect that last one is now a thing of the past.

Trinity have a hard core of about 3,000, if just 300 (10% of those) go out of there way to go to a Trinity pub, you've done well.

Now then, I don't mind this at all.

We are owned and operated by Marstons and as such, there are certain company standards that we have to observe, however I would love to get involved in some of this. As it happens I had a signwriter in this week to adorn one of the walls with Trinity badges and we do have some things relating to the club already on display but I would love to add to that.

I am more than happy to work with you on this, the banner may be the most difficult element to swing from a company perspective but I am happy to collaborate on the design and find something that works.

Prints, definitely, particularly anything relating to the club's heritage. It would have to be A3 to remain consistent with other prints and posters we have.

Anything official from the club such as signed shirts/team photos etc I would love to have on display!

Regarding criticism of The Ruddy Duck, I am all too aware of the shortcomings that the pub faced in its previous guise. To put it bluntly, I wouldn't be here and we wouldn't now be The Bridge Inn were that not the case.

All I will say on the matter is this, the pub before was an entirely different business, aimed at different clientele and managed by a different team of people. Whilst I run the pub as a job, RL is and always has been my passion so getting things right on match days and working alongside the club is a huge part of the reason I am here. I have been to Belle Vue as a fan, albeit an away fan, dozens of times so I would like to think I appreciate the need of RL fans in general. If you still think it's poop, fair enough!

Fakeman let's be correct you have only supported trinity since the 1990 trinity fans have drinking in the conny club for year's before mc and ted in fact for year's before if my dad was alive if ask him you bet Trinity fans have drinking in conny club since open at a guess there's a good 150 on there every home match you know FA start preaching!!

Have been in today (5 of us) pre-match for lunch and a drink and have to say the place looks great!
Love the sports bar side and the other traditional side. Also like the new outside space to the left of the pub with the large screen - will look forward to using that in the summer.
I have some memorabilia I could lend you - what can you get away with?

Glad you like the refurb! Was good to have a few fans in today pre and post match.

On the memorabilia front, pretty much any official club things I should think. With it being yours I would want to make sure you were happy about where it was displayed etc in order to ensure it isn't damaged or anything but that is a fantastic gesture mate!
