Charity cricket match, celebrate trinity 150 years : Tue Jul 18, 2023 1:29 pm  

To celebrate 100 years of Wakefield thornes cc and 150 years of Wakefield trinity there is a charity cricket match being held this Sunday at Wakefield thornes cricket club ,field lane , thornes .
There will be 3 games based on the hundred format and will include 3 teams which will include a trinity select X1
Which at the moment includes Gary spencer, Stu dickens, Martin and Graham law ,Andy Wilson, Andy fisher , Ian jowitt ,will brough and possibly Danny,, mark reeves , Chris judge plus a few others. hopefully a few first team players will be in attendance i.e jai Pitts and hopefully the big bopper might make an appearance.
All welcome , matches start from 10am 1pm and . 4pm. Charities Inc mnd/Leeds children's heart hospital and Wakefield hospice. Food available all day plus bar open and entrance is free. Great raffle prizes. please come along and get your trinity fix this weekend .

Have they said when this is taking place, I assume after the season has finished ?

Unfortunately the cricket is cancelled however the bar will still be open and food available all afternoon. All the trinity ex players coming along plus a few first teamers. So please pop along and hopefully we can still raise a bit for charity
