We all know there is no relegation next season !
SO, there is no promotion , therefore you cannot win promotion even if you win every match & the 1895 cup ! You can only achieve promotion meeting criteria's overall in points meeting "img" criteria !
Therefore for those who think of winning promotion 1st time are deluded !
However, the more you demonstrate credentials earning specific points then that's the way to go !
So, again, we must maintain " Full time " status, to have any chance of meeting the criteria, + maintain an academy, & to all the other points criteria, This will take funding outside our revenue stream, per say.
Therefore, cards on the table, anyone, yes anyone owning & running this club will fail one year on if they do not fund this, annalagy re - Leigh. !
All other opinions will not change the game plan overall to earn promotion meeting a full criteria as possible. !!!!!!!!
But promotion is possible pending meeting criteria. The chances of this are increased if you finish top, win the league and 1895. In fact winning all these could put the club above the lowest placed SL team if not much separate.
The aim has to be to win the league and 1895 whilst working on other criteria. Fan engagement, community works, elite academy functioning to a good standard. Perhaps even a reserved team if points are allocated for this.
I agree that going full time is the best way but it doesn’t necessarily have to be exclusively full time.
If for example you had
22 full time trinity players
3 full season loan SL players
5 part time current championship players or academy promoted youth players but full time
That could work.
I’m sure the club realise the above as they've already touched on it after the Leigh game.
There are many things the club need to do after the seasons over. All of it needs to be positively reinforcing the club.
The new facilities need to be earning by Christmas.
Secure some big friendlies which hopefully can bring some income in pre season.
Renewal of sponsorship deals.
Some positive media for the season to come and the clubs intentions.
The level of funding will determine our squad quality ofcourse. If we invest in a strong squad and turn in some results early a good portion of that investment will be returned by the end of the season with fans returning to see a winning team and one potentially challenging for 1895 and to top the league.
If we don’t invest in a strong squad for 2024 and perform well then we will fade off and the fans will fall away. Start strong and the fans will stay and buy in.
