Big news should be going on social channels live to help boost the numbers, intrigued as to what this could be, hope it is a signing as you would have thought it was massive being live on there. Don't feel like any stadium planning type announcement would be made on sky.

Afterthought, could be a massive marquee signing for next year.

Smoothy for Antoni is a good shout as Smoothy is high profile and with the Hood injury might have pushed us to look at getting him over now. Really can't think what would be Sky news worthy and them giving us air time for much. The thing about Jenna Brookes doesn't make me feel it's ground related.

Could be a band for our opening fixture though.

I'd say a current NRL first choice player in his prime is pretty big news.
Not many others have them in SL.

You'd imagine it's Max or a left field marquee signing for next year. The Smoothy story broke a week ago, and while he's a top player he's not well known to SL fans so I can't imagine Sky wanting to devote an announcement to that. I'm also fairly certain it won't be anything to do with the ground - we all care but it's too niche for the average viewer.

Got no info whatsoever, but in order of likelihood I'd go with Jowitt, Kallum Watkins, Braden Hamlin-Uele. Josh Addo Carr ha.

Interestingly in the article about Smoothy it said we were signing him for 2026 but that could change with conversations ongoing.

I think it’s also telling that Atoni hasn’t played a competitive game yet so his salary may not count on the cap like Sivo?

Could be some wheeling and dealing and for Smoothy who’s a current NRL and recent grand final NRL player it could be big news.

Perhaps why we have brought a middle in…

If the above were to happen I’d look at Eseh on loan to boost the forwards further.

Could be completely wrong though!

Sky will probably be at the ground preparing for the game Thursday.
