What puzzles/bothers me the most is, how we can put in two very poor performances after snapping that losing run against the best team in the league?!? They have been two performances I might have expected if we had lost to Saints, they obviously gained no confidence from beating them then? I still think our best most fluid performance was against HKR in the first game. We controlled the ruck area, forwards dominant therefore backs into the game, TJ put into space on numerous occasions etc, etc. Since then generally, apart from the odd purple patch in the odd game, we just look poor with ball in hand. Last year, BJB, MCB, TJ & Lynne scored nearly 70 tries between them, unless we improve they are gonna be nowhere near that amount. I'm not writing us off yet, like some have said, hopefully Fifita can lift us, and we can kick on......so far I've been disappointed with us, maybe too much pre-season talk and hype.

We seem to have gone backwards about 2 years regarding using the wings. Lack of cut out passes or Tupou and Lynn dying with the ball?

Not sure why tbh. Love him or loathe him, Grix did seem to provide the final pass or kicks last season, especially for BJB to finish. Maybe the opposition have sussed us out, maybe it is the conditions and we aren't trying to be too expansive, or maybe the forwards are struggling to match their opposites and it's having a knock on effect on the halves and threequarters??

Think we are missing out on the basic rugby skills ,running onto the ball not stood taking ball ,tackling around legs to stop momentum and ball retention,and finally a large dose of passion .Been watching wakey for over 40 years and throughout those years we didn’t have many world beaters but some of those players could teach these lads about playing with pride and passion for this great club.

I agree. Our consistency is and has been atrocious for too many years though I honestly thought with the close results before the St's game that we were turning a corner due to what I deem as having a talented squad. At the end of the day it simply isn't good enough, if many people showed such inconsistent working abilities within their line of work I'm sure they would be under the pump too by management, colleagues.

I don't agree. I've seen plenty of pride and passion this season. It's execution that is the problem.

Our passing is poor, how many times in the last few games have we seen a pass going behind not one but sometimes two or three players. The ball goes into touch or the players fall over trying to catch it. It pains me to say but Miller is one of the worst culprits but he is not alone.

Watching Scott Taylor scoring his tries today you have to say our props are light years away from that level.

Funny isnt it, how can a team go toe to toe with St's then get blown out of the water by a injury hit Salford and below par injury hit Cas. A team doesn't lose completion over night. Question marks will be raised regarding the players passion and determination, it's only natural from passionate fans.

Being natural doesn't make it right.
I could go back and find all these threads after last year's Cas game.
Like it or not Car are better than us tight now. Their defence wasn't below par. They snuffed out a lot of the stuff we tried.
They were down on numbers but so were we.

The comments about players and coach mean nothing if those passionate fans just change their mind game to game because they are upset with the result.
The games we have lost are tough. I was in a bad mood after Cas as well because we were poor on completion and ball security and more so because of the wrong decision on the try.......but it is the next group of games that will matter most.
If we win those then we'll be fine. If we don't then the club will need our support through the middle 8s. Better teams than us have been there before.
