It means that instead of the 'decision makers' at Superleague having an all expenses paid trip to Newcastle, they will now have an all expenses paid holiday in New York.

Although i dislike the the actual event as a concept, looking at it from another point of view, the whole point of Magic Weekend is to showcase the sport to new markets so it make perfect sense to take it to the USA. I dare say it will get a larger attendance too.

I have never been to one it just does not appeal to me. however plenty like it and look forward to it. its a bit of a kick in the teeth to all the supporters who spend their cash to try and make it an event.
I just don't get why you would want to take it away from the vast majority of vans and stage it in the states.
Let the R L get on with it , they will probably balls it up like they did with the CC.

I will be honest here, I have enjoyed the event at Newcastle, but whether it was our performance or not, I'm not sure, but I didnt really enjoy it as much this time around. Maybe it is time to move it on for a while, away from Newcastle.

I cant realistically see it bringing a bigger crowd, and certainly not forthe diehard heartland fans. You would get US and Canadian fans definately, but with logistics it could be a case that the negatives will outweigh the positives to fans and clubs.

I think the cost alone, especially for a family, would put people off. The cost of flight plus hotels for a family of 4 would be a big chunk of peoples income.
