not with the players but two fans having a go at the Catalan young lads that came over as a team stood in the north stand,
two blokes not even stood together in their late 40s neither couldn't turn an eye to the their celebrations as they was winning the game came up face to face with them, for gawd's sake what the hell is up with people

Must agree with you! Its a shame when you cant celebrate your teams win without being confronted by idiot, the rugby league would have loved it if anything did kick off another fine would have been coming our way.

My lad mentioned some issues with Wakey and some young Catalans fans during the game. We told him and his mates to move and stand near us

It's an unfortunate trait that is creeping into our sport.

Unfortunately, some get too much sun and too much beer inside them

these Catalan fans was doing nothing but singing and enjoying the game not causing any bother,
how would you feel if your teenage lad got the same reception abroad disgusting behaviour from our own

And why shouldn't they, they had plenty to sing about.

I would have been disgusted.

Don't get me wrong, me and my lad stand apart, but that is due to the fact they have their circle of friends and I have mine.

Let's face it, he's 17 now, and bigger than me. He doesn't need babysitting. Though every so often, I look across to check he's ok

1st I would advise him not to stand in the heart of the French supporters. 2nd I would say not to goad any hot heads who may be full of beer after a days drinking, especially if their team is getting mullered.
That's just what my rules are when I go to Perpignan. I also walk back to the Hotel pretty restrained too.

Yep, spot on.

Security staff made a rod for their own backs by letting them in the north stand. By all means sit them in the east stand.

Would they have allowed a group of 30 odd castleford supporters or of any other club for that matter to do the same, No they wouldn't. So why would we for catalans?
The catalans lads were absolutely doing nothing wrong but if the roles were reversed with Wakefield fans in perpignan the result would be exactly the same.

Behaviour like that is unacceptable in any part of society be it at a sporting event or just in the public domain......But, we've had some very hairy moments in the ground at Perpignan and on our way back into town, the last time we went there ended up being a quite large Melee (sp) after one of our group got a crack, I think it's on Slugger McBats phone.
Rugby league unfortunately isn't the wholesome family sport people like to project these days.

Security staff were no where to be seen, especially when the 'ladies' were brawling in the back of the North stand at the end of the game -well one did eventually turn up.

Disgusting. Catalan were the better team. England going to semi finals people should have been in good spirits. Catalan out played us.
Think it's great the French come over that's shocking behaviour
