Am I alone in being embarrassed by a small number of our fans? At the game yesterday I thought I heard, quite loud so not just one or two people, a racist chant from the stand behind the goals. Mrs KH told me that my hearing’s getting worse and it was actually ‘only’, “You FAT ba5tard” that was being chanted. But, I read this morning that there was indeed some racial abuse aimed at a London player. Add to that the firework that was set off and, apparently, damage caused to some of the seats in one of the stands. I’m sure it’s only a few people who can’t hold their drink, but they’re harming the club and it’s reputation - casual fans, especially those with kids, won’t want to return and, if there is racist chanting we’ll be getting points docked. The club needs to identify them and warn them that repeat behaviour like that will lead to them being banned. And while I’m ranting - can we sing songs in praise of our own team but lose the, “When I was just a little boy ......” song about Cas? It’s offensive, pathetic and suggests we’re obsessed with our near neighbours. Is it just me?
Battye did his best to encourage some banter when returning to receive the numerous kick-offs we repeatedly let him return via Dixon. Don't know about the rest as it never seems to happen near me. I'll carry a flag next time and everyone can stand/sit with me.

The only "chant" that I heard was aimed at Battye, referring to his apparent lack of fitness (although he did have the last laugh) and he was also giving the "bird" to those sat behind the sticks, which he clearly shouldn't be doing. If ANY of our fans are damaging seats / stands then lets have them identified and get rid. There are cameras all over the place these days so, hopefully it shouldn't be too difficult. We seem to have a minority of idiots attached to the club and they aren't wanted /needed. IF there was any racist chanting and I certainly didn't hear any. Again, identify them and ban them, it shouldn't be too difficult
Large group of so called Wakey fans stood in front of seating area left hand side of posts towards end we were attacking in first half. Apparently they are from Normanton. Firstly they were off their faces on a mixture of drink and god knows what. They were blocking the view of people sat in front two rows of designated seating area, would not move despite been asked politely, stewards asked them to move and presumably made a decision that if they enforced a move it would cause more trouble. They were signing about going on the pitch if Brough scored, they should be banned from our great club. Totally disrespectful selfish people with not a care for anyone or the club. They were an embarrassment. Second half they moved to a seating area at far end of ground, must have been a joy for whoever was unfortunate to be sat near them.
The standard "You FAT ba5tard" chant doesn't surprise me but it's a chant that's an issue across every competitive sport.
I think everyone will be in agreement though, anything more than the odd bit of banter needs to be nipped in the bud before it's taken too far and reflects badly on the club.

I think its great that some of the players have banter with the fans, big Dave, look at Gelling and as for Battye good on him the game needs characters,
Racist abuse drunken behaviour no thanks they need to be named and shamed. I never heard any racist comments I heard the firework! and i saw the fans blocking the view from the stands. Also a number of fans who could hardly stand up and barely talk, no need for it by all means have a beer but let everyone enjoy the game.
@wtrinityrl you behaved like a bunch of tossers today in Ealing playing against London Broncos RL you frightened our bar staff and intimidated our punters! Very delighted you lost the game and hope you went home...
