Already I read people slating the team and certain players. I honestly don't know what some expect. St. Helens are superb and we are a patched up side at probably 60%best available, players playing who wouldn't if we weren't so depleted. They got stuck in. Maybe a few bad plays. A few bad bounces of the ball. Kirmo injured early doors. Jack croft looks highly promising. Half the salary cap on the sidelines as Chris just said. Come on, for Christ sakes, give em a break!! Up the Trin!

Can't agree. Didn't see anyone not giving 100%. Saw brough clearly not back with the pace, unsurprisingly. He was brave and big enough to play in spite of his hand only out of immobilisation 2 days ago. Depleted side. Players returning from or carrying injuries. Best side in league. End of.

rubbish, st.helens were poor today but still rattled up 48 ,chezzys should have not played broughy ,renolds would have been better ,Miller for me bugger off home

That performance smacked of, players playing too early after injury, youngsters not ready for SL, best players sidelined. Skill levels not good enough for the type of rugby we tried to play. I’m afraid it ended exactly the way I expected. Full fit squad we might have given them a game.

What did you guys really expect? we've got key players missing and even though we like to think we have strength in depth, our 'depth' is nowhere near good enough to beat Saints, who are head and shoulders above any other team in the league this season.
Sorry, but the result was for me a foregone conclusion.
It's a bitter pill to swallow but there goes silver for another year!

and if we'd gone with Reynolds and left Brough on the sidelines, you and many others would have been saying the total opposite.
The most glaring observation form our effort yesterday is just how much of a difference Fifita makes.
He is our talisman and pack leader and we need to hope he's back soon.

For all the knockers out there, what do you think Saint would have done with there from 4 of their first choice threequarters missing plus say Walmsley and a couple of their other forwards and Coote only half fit.
I'd fancy a fully fit Trinity to roll that team over comfortably, especially at Belle Vue.

Leeds up next Friday and we need to get behind the boys.
Wire play Catalan and Cas play an improving Huddersfield side and a win against Leeds sees a busted Trinity side probably back in a play off spot.

Given out injury situation, NOBODY would have given us a chance of being where we are and despite yesterday's result, we are well in the mix for a top 5 finish.
