There is something going on here and I think it has something to do with the stadium.
In the last few years the proliferation of teams affiliated to the club has been very noticeable. Disabled/ladies RL/ladies football/wakefield united or whatever they are called but you get my drift.
Slowly but surely Trinity is truly becoming the sporting hub for the city and truly representational of the whole community.
If we are ever to re-develop BV we need access to all the funding available. Who knows if we will ever get anything from YC so for us to have purchased BV there must be a plan B.
No organisation has more cash than the FA and they have made it clear that they will fund development in areas where there are no pro clubs. They are also massively keen to promote the women’s game.
With this being backed up by the Trust fronting much of it there is a real legitimacy to it. So if we are to get access to grants/council support and funding this is how you do it.
I could be imagining all this of course or alternatively someone is being very smart, I hope.
