I’m going to be a bit of a killjoy here.
I don’t know the figures for the deal but if it just a shirt deal then the fact that it’s Asus is irrelevant other than the brand names impact value. Just because they are a billion dollar company doesn’t mean they pay more than a cleaning company from Barnsley, they might, but they might not.
Sometimes the best sponsors are the smaller ones, not as dramatic but more drip drip. This lot may be great or more likely they can spot a bargain.
Getting any sponsor is great these days and a prestige one all the better, but prestige and hard cash are not always the same thing.
